If you run more than one location, team, or event, one tip page isn’t always enough. With multiple tip jars, you can create separate tipping pages while managing everything from one Tip Top Jar account.
Each tip jar gets its own link, QR code, profile, and settings, making it easy to keep different locations, people, events, or audiences organized.
1. Create a New Tip Jar
All of your tip jars live in the Tip jars tile on your dashboard. To create a new tip jar:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Find the Tip jars tile and click New
- Enter a Display name for your new tip jar
- Your Tip page link will fill in automatically. You can edit it if you’d like something different. A green check confirms that the link is available
- Under Copy settings from existing jar, choose Yes to start with the settings from one of your current tip jars, or No to start fresh
- Click Create tip jar
Your new tip jar will appear in the list right away, ready for you to customize.
💡 Tip for copying settings: Selecting Yes copies the profile and preferences from an existing tip jar, including your photo, bio, tip amounts, thank you settings, and more. It’s a quick way to create similar tip jars without starting from scratch.
2. Customize Each Tip Jar
Every tip jar has its own profile and preferences, so each tipping page can look and behave differently. To customize a tip jar:
- Click the tip jar in your Tip jars list to expand it
- Click Profile to update its photo, display name, background, location, profession, and bio
- Click Preferences to update its currency, tip amounts, thank you message, thank you link, redirect settings, and other tipping preferences
- Save your changes
💡 Tip for viewing settings at a glance: Click Show details at the bottom of an expanded tip jar to see its setup at a glance without opening the editor.
3. Share a Tip Jar
Every tip jar has its own unique link and QR code, so you can send supporters directly to the right tipping page. To share a tip jar:
- Expand the tip jar in your Tip jars list
- Click the link card labeled Tap to copy your link to copy its URL
- Click Share to view and download its QR code
- Choose the HD or Ultra-HD download depending on where you plan to use it
For website buttons, inline tip cards, and floating widgets, head to your Share page and choose the tip jar you want to use from the dropdown at the top.
4. Track Tips by Tip Jar
Your dashboard keeps activity from all of your tip jars together while still letting you see how each one is performing.
Totals and tippers appear next to each tip jar and follow the date range selected on your dashboard. To view activity from specific tip jars:
- Open the Tip jars filter above your dashboard activity
- Select one or more tip jars
- Click View to apply the filter
- Choose Save as default and view if you want those tip jars to be selected automatically when you return
The same Tip jars filter is also available on your Tippers and Payments pages.
5. Duplicate a Tip Jar
If you’re creating several tip jars with a similar setup, duplicating one is the fastest way to get started. To duplicate a tip jar:
- Click the ⋯ menu on the tip jar you want to copy
- Choose Duplicate
- Give the new tip jar a display name and link
- Click Create tip jar
The new tip jar will start with the settings from the original, and you can then change anything that needs to be different.
6. Delete a Tip Jar
If you no longer need a tip jar, you can permanently remove it. To delete a tip jar:
- Click the ⋯ menu on the tip jar
- Choose Delete
- Enter the tip jar’s link when prompted to confirm
- Click Permanently delete
Tips you’ve already received will stay in your payment history. Your first tip jar can’t be deleted.
