Today, we're announcing that Tip Top Jar has acquired tip.page.

As we continue building Tip Top Jar, we're looking beyond simply helping people receive tips. We want to make the entire experience easier, from how people share their pages to how they connect with supporters.

We see tip.page as an important part of that direction, and we're excited about what we can build with it.

Why We Acquired tip.page

We've always believed that receiving tips online should be simple, whether you're a creator, musician, streamer, or business.

As Tip Top Jar has grown, so has our understanding of what people need from the platform. It's not just about accepting tips. It's about making it easier for people to find you, support you, and interact with your page.

The tip.page domain is a natural fit for what we're building. It's short, recognizable, and clearly communicates its purpose.

More importantly, it gives us a domain we can continue developing as we expand what Tip Top Jar can offer.

What This Means for You

Starting today, every Tip Top Jar tip page is accessible through tip.page.

For example:
tiptopjar.com/yourname
is now also available at:
tip.page/yourname

Both links take supporters to the same tip page. This works automatically across every tip jar on your account, including additional tip jars you've created.

The new domain is also shorter and easier to recognize, making it useful for social media bios, livestreams, websites, and QR codes.

Nothing changes with your existing links. All previously shared links, QR codes, and printed materials will continue working. There's nothing you need to update, and using tip.page is completely optional and free.

What's Next

We're working on integrating tip.page into the Tip Top Jar Dashboard and QR codes. Beyond that, we see opportunities to use the domain to solve more of the problems our users face when receiving tips and payments. This acquisition gives us room to build on what we've started, and we'll share more as those plans develop.

As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts. You can reach us through our Contact page or email us directly at hello@tiptopjar.com.
